The Direct and Indirect Tax Senior Analyst will provide essential support to the International Tax Directors and the Head of Tax in managing our global tax compliance and reporting obligations. You will assist with the preparation or review of direct tax filings, including corporate income tax and withholding tax. It also involves assisting with the preparation or review of indirect tax filings, including VAT/GST, sales tax, and excise. Additionally, you will support audits and maintain accurate tax records. You will report to the Tax Manager and you will work 4 days at our site located in San Angel, CDMX and 1 home office day.

Responsibilities

• VAT Reporting Filing and review of indirect tax reports ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Monitor consistency across filings to ensure data integrity and tax/legal compliance. Maintain VAT-related SAP tables. Prepare documentation for tax authority inquiries and investigations.
• Customs Support Review customs reporting data for accuracy, report non-conformances to business teams (OTC, PTP), and resolve issues promptly. Support site customs inquiries related to import/export transactions.
• Financial Analysis Review relevant balance sheet accounts, investigating abnormal payments and major movements. Prepare monthly fiscal reporting analyses.
• General Support the Tax Manager and International Tax Directors in direct and indirect tax compliance processes. Support the preparation, review, and submission of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax financial reporting. Prepare documentation for tax audits, reviews, and internal/external inquiries. Monitor tax law and regulatory changes, reporting main updates to senior tax leaders. Support implementation and improvement of tax compliance tools. Coordinate with finance and business teams to ensure tax treatment and accurate filing data. Support the selection, implementation, and management of the new digital tax platform.

Academic Background

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics, or related field

Professional Experience

5 or more years of experience in taxation, accounting, or finance.

Technical Skills

• Fluent English, local language mandatory
• Understanding of international direct and indirect tax principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is mandatory.
• Knowledge of customs and import/export regulations SAP and SAP-GTS experience is mandatory.
• Microsoft tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint…)
