About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team in Athens and act as the driving force behind new business growth for Odyssea. This is a "hunter" role at heart: you will proactively prospect, cold-call, and open doors with key decision makers, generating qualified opportunities that fuel our employer partnerships and placement services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & New Business: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new business, acting as a true "hunter" for the organisation.
- Cold-Calling & Outreach: Cold-call key decision makers, monitor a daily volume of outbound sales calls, and arrange sales appointments over the phone or virtually.
- Lead Identification & Research: Identify potential customers, pinpoint key decision makers inside target companies, and research client information such as industry, company size, and business needs.
- Strategic Solutioning: Think strategically to create customised solutions that provide real value to clients' bottom line, tailoring the pitch to each prospect's context.
- Pipeline Management: Use and update existing records to manage leads, track sales activities, and keep accurate, up-to-date records throughout the sales cycle.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments to sharpen outreach and positioning.
- Account Management: Nurture relationships with existing clients after the initial handover, staying close to their evolving needs and spotting opportunities to grow the account over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: in a relevant field.
- Proven hunter mindset: with the ability to self-motivate and consistently perform in a high-performance, target-driven environment.
- Outstanding Communication: excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Tech Comfort: familiar with computer applications and software, and comfortable learning new sales/CRM tools.
- Relationship Building: ability to build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients over the phone and virtually.
- Organisation & Time Management: strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy daily calling and appointment schedule.
- Team & Independent Work: ability to work independently as a self-starter while also collaborating closely with account managers and the wider team.
- Adaptability: flexibility and adaptability to change in a fast-moving, evolving market.
- Language Skills: excellent command of the English language; Greek fluency for client-facing calls.
Great plus:
- Previous experience in a sales, business development role
- Prior exposure to B2B recruitment, staffing, or HR services.
- Familiarity with CRM or database systems
