Job Description

GC Corporation was founded in 1921 in Japan and has developed itself into one of the most prominent companies in the development, production and distribution of a very wide range of dental products. Since 1972 GC Europe NV, our European Headquarter is located at the Researchpark Haasrode in Leuven (Belgium). GC Europe NV supports and leads our different sales offices and dealers. Our warehouse spreads our products to Europe and the Middle East.

For our European Head Office in Leuven, Belgium, we are currently looking for a Supply Planner.

Purpose of the job

As a Supply Planner, you own your part of the supply planning process to ensure optimal availability of intercompany materials while maintaining healthy and controlled inventory levels. This role drives effective planning execution, ensuring that planning signals, purchase proposals, stock levels, exceptions, and risks are actively monitored and translated into timely actions. Your key challenge is to optimize inventory to maintain our organisation’s efficiency. By combining strong analytical capabilities, risk management, and close collaboration with internal and external GC stakeholders, the role contributes directly to service reliability, reduced backorders, lower obsolete stock risk, and continuous improvement of the supply planning process.

Main responsibilities

  • Execute the supply planning process for assigned intercompany materials.
  • Use SAP/S/4HANA as the primary planning system to monitor inventory and translate signals into timely and accurate planning actions.
  • Create, follow up, and manage intercompany purchase orders, ensuring proactive communication on confirmations, delays, shortages, allocation risks, and priority shipments.
  • Analyze inventory performance and drive optimization while identifying trends, opportunities, root causes of problems.
  • Develop specific and well-defined enhancement and improvement actions.
  • Act as a first point of ownership for supply risks, escalating critical issues in time, and coordinating corrective actions with all necessary parties involved.
  • Prepare and maintain clear planning reports, backorder follow-up, track-and-trace overviews, and Power BI dashboards to provide transparent visibility.

  • Efficient communication skills in Dutch and English are required.
  • Experience with backorder management and inventory optimization.
  • Practical experience with SAP/S/4HANA, solid knowledge of MRP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; Python is a plus.
