We have an opportunity for a Training Specialist to establish and maintain a structured, consistent and auditable training and competency program across Electricity Distribution Control, Gas Control, and Gas and Electricity Dispatch.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations Performance, this permanent role is based at Flinders Street, Melbourne, with hybrid working, and forms part of the Distribution Control & Operations team.

What you’ll help deliver

  • Develop and maintain operational training frameworks, competency pathways and role based learning plans
  • Coordinate training delivery, Controller authorisations and reauthorisations across Control & Operations
  • Partner with operational leaders and subject matter experts to uplift training content and address capability gaps
  • Maintain accurate training records and report on progress, priorities, risks and workforce readiness

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Experience coordinating technical or competency based training in a regulated or safety critical environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, schedules and priorities
  • Experience developing training frameworks, learning plans, competency pathways and auditable records
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent, with energy, utilities or operational experience highly regarded
