Founded in 2014 and headquartered at 214 Sullivan St, New York, The Farmer's Dog set out to transform the $100 billion global pet food manufacturing industry. The company was started by Brett Podolsky and Jonathan Regev after Podolsky's dog Jada recovered from chronic stomach issues through home-cooked meals, inspiring them to build a fresh, subscription-based pet food service. Today, The Farmer's Dog has delivered hundreds of millions of personalized meals to dogs nationwide and has raised more than $150 million in funding from early backers of Warby Parker, Dollar Shave Club, Sweetgreen, and Glossier. The company, which employs more than 1,000 people, aims to simplify pet care while fostering an inclusive, authentic workplace culture. Its long-term mission is to improve the health and well-being of pets and the peace of mind of the people who care for them.
