The Accelerated Schools

Founded in 1994 and headquartered at 4000 S Main St, Los Angeles, California, The Accelerated Schools operate within the primary and secondary education industry, comprising Accelerated Charter Elementary School (ACES) Dual Language, The Accelerated School (TAS) TK-8, and Wallis Annenberg High School (WAHS). The organization was built on the belief that every child deserves to be treated as gifted, emphasizing high expectations, a supportive learning environment, and strong parent involvement, with admission determined by lottery regardless of prior academic achievement. Its mission is to graduate students prepared to succeed at the university of their choice and to enter the workforce as informed, productive employees, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who act as responsible citizens. With more than 120 employees, The Accelerated Schools continue to use innovative strategies to foster academic achievement while helping transform the South Central Los Angeles community.
