Shasta Head Start

Shasta Head Start is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1965 to provide high-quality child care and social services to low-income children and families in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity Counties. Operating within the individual and family services industry, the organization is headquartered at 375 Lake Blvd, 100, Redding, California, and employs more than 80 people. Each year, Shasta Head Start serves approximately 1,100 families, including children from birth to age five and pregnant mothers. Its comprehensive approach to service delivery encompasses school readiness, health screenings, parent engagement, nutritious meals, and disabilities and mental health services, helping to build a strong foundation for early learning and lifelong self-sufficiency.
