Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Pueblo, Colorado, Sangre de Cristo Community Care is a nonprofit provider in the Hospitals and Health Care industry, offering compassionate end-of-life care, bereavement counseling, and illness management support. The organization operates Joni Fair Hospice House, a 10-bed hospice facility, and delivers home hospice care across a 20,000 square mile region in southern Colorado, supported by branch offices in Cañon City, La Junta, Pueblo, Trinidad, and Walsenburg. As a nonprofit, it serves all patients regardless of their ability to pay, while also offering community education on death and dying.
