The company is now a subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc., headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota, and provides retail natural gas and electric service across parts of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. Its service territory spans more than 168,000 square miles, about 5.5 percent of the continental United States, reaching roughly 355,000 customers.
