Kern Regional Center

Kern Regional Center is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1971 and headquartered in Bakersfield, California. It is one of 21 regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. KRC serves nearly 8,000 clients across Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties, a region spanning approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of almost 900,000 people. The organization employs more than 200 staff members dedicated to supporting the developmental disabilities community.
