Hyundai Translead is a leading manufacturer of dry and refrigerated van trailers, domestic containers, container chassis, and converter dollies serving the North American transportation industry. Established in 1989, the company operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company Korea and is headquartered in San Diego, California, with three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Tijuana, Mexico. In 1996, Hyundai Translead became the first major trailer manufacturer in North America to achieve ISO:9001 Certification, recognizing consistent and well-documented quality standards in manufacturing, and has maintained this certification through annual re-certification ever since. The company is part of the truck transportation industry and employs more than 900 people.
