Greater St. Louis Area Council

Founded in 1911, the Greater St. Louis Area Council is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Scouting councils in the nation. The Scouting program prepares young people for life through outstanding leadership and growth opportunities, including camping, hiking, community improvement projects, and building remote-controlled robots, all designed to inspire character and instill lasting values. The council serves more than 23,000 members and nearly 10,000 adult volunteers across 51 counties in Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Headquartered at 4568 West Pine Blvd in St. Louis, Missouri, it also maintains offices in Fairview Heights, Herrin, and Decatur, Illinois, as well as Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The organization employs more than 130 people dedicated to supporting its mission.
