Daniel Kids

Founded in 1884, Daniel is Florida's oldest nonprofit child-service agency, originally established as an orphanage in tribute to Jacksonville community leader James Jaquelin Daniel. Headquartered at 4203 Southpoint Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, the organization has grown into a multi-service agency with more than 200 employees, assisting an average of 5,000 children, adolescents and families each year. Daniel offers a wide range of innovative, nationally recognized programs spanning counseling, case management, and crisis intervention. Its services include residential treatment and statewide inpatient psychiatric care, specialized therapeutic foster care, a homeless youth program, school-based support and mental health initiatives, community adult mental health services, the Daniel Memorial Institute, and the Florida Adoption Information Center. Through these efforts, Daniel supports children and families in crisis as they heal from the past and build brighter futures.
