Founded in 1941 and headquartered in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Dairyland Power Cooperative is a utilities company dedicated to providing safe, reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity to its cooperative members. As a generation and transmission cooperative, Dairyland supplies wholesale electricity and related services to 24 electric distribution cooperatives and 17 municipal utilities across the Upper Midwest, ultimately serving more than half a million consumers. Its diverse generating resources include coal, solar, wind, natural gas, hydro and biogas, delivered through nearly 3,200 miles of transmission lines and 300 substations spanning a 44,500 square mile service area across 62 counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.
