Charles River Center

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, Charles River Center is a private, not-for-profit human services agency dedicated to empowering adults and children with disabilities. Operating within the individual and family services industry, the organization provides employment and job training, housing, day habilitation, and recreational opportunities to more than 1,000 individuals and families each year. What began as a small preschool for children with special needs has grown into a multi-site organization encompassing 32 residential homes across Metrowest and southeastern Massachusetts. Today, Charles River Center is a $40 million multiservice agency and a recognized leader in delivering innovative, person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities. With more than 150 employees, the organization continues to foster independence and community inclusion for those it serves.
