Founded in 1965 by Jack A. Marantz, Bank of Springfield (BOS) began as a neighborhood bank on the southeast side of Springfield, Illinois, and has since grown into a full-service banking institution with 15 branches across Illinois and Missouri, plus one loan production office in Missouri. Headquartered at 3400 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL, the bank remains privately held and is led today by Chairman and CEO Tom Marantz, President Mike Pence, and Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman Jason Knoedler. With more than 260 employees, BOS is dedicated to serving its communities through financial literacy programs, charitable sponsorships, and employee volunteer efforts such as food and clothing drives, blood drives, and local charity events.
