APG Federal Credit Union traces its origins to 1938, when local pioneers in Aberdeen, Maryland, came together to meet the savings and borrowing needs of military families at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Headquartered at P.O. Box 1176, Aberdeen, MD 21001, the credit union now serves anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City, making it one of the largest financial cooperatives in the region. With more than 230 employees, APGFCU operates within the financial services industry, offering products and services designed to build stability and financial independence for its members. As a not-for-profit, member-driven cooperative, its mission is to empower member-owners to control their own finances, encourage thrift, and provide access to credit at fair interest rates.
