Are you a dedicated OSHC leader who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment and enjoys making a real impact across multiple services? We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Mobile Coordinator to support our Outside School Hours Care services across the Vermont region.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 38 hours per week across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

• Before School Care: 6:00am – 9:00am
• After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
• Block shifts during school holidays between 6:00am – 6:00pm

About the Role

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality Outside School Hours Care services across Vermont & Surrounding Areas. The Mobile Coordinator works directly within our before-school, after-school and vacation-care services. The position provides hands-on care and supervision to school-aged children while supporting Service Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators and Educators across multiple locations.

The successful applicant will regularly attend OSHC services, provide leadership coverage during planned and unplanned absences, and ensure children continue to receive safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct educational and recreational activities for children attending before-school, after-school and vacation care, as well as food and menus in accordance with nutritional, dietary, hygiene and food-safety requirements.
• Guide children’s behaviour and social development using positive, inclusive and child-centred practices.
• Support children’s individual wellbeing, medical and dietary requirements, including medication documentation and risk-minimisation plans.
• Monitor and evaluate educational programs to ensure activities are engaging, inclusive, culturally appropriate and responsive to children’s needs.
• Provide direct service leadership and ratio cover when replacing Service Coordinators or Service Managers. Coach, mentor and support Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators and Educators.
• Conduct service visits, compliance checks, risk assessments, emergency drills and safety reviews. Support services to comply with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and applicable legislation.
• Support incident, complaint, workplace health and safety and child-safeguarding processes.
• Assist with employee onboarding, rostering, attendance records and service-improvement initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, educators and local communities.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

You are a confident and adaptable leader who enjoys supporting teams and creating meaningful experiences for children. To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An AQF Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or another approved qualification for outside school hours care, as required under the applicable state regulations.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with children in an education and care environment, preferably within OSHC.
• Experience leading and supporting teams within regulated education and care services.
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place.
• Experience planning and implementing educational and recreational programs for school-aged children.
• Demonstrated ability to support child safety, active supervision, regulatory compliance and service improvement.
• The ability to establish effective relationships across multiple services, schools and communities.
• A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel between services within the region.

Mandatory Requirements

The successful applicant must hold or be able to obtain:

• A current Working with Children Check;
• A satisfactory National Police Check;
• Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications;
• A National Foundations of Child Safety Certificate; and
• Full working rights or eligibility to work in Australia.
