This field-based opportunity is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who enjoys working with older adults, building trusted community relationships, and delivering a consultative, high-quality member experience.

The Internal title for this position is: Medicare Benefit Consultant (MBC).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory and conduct in-person and virtual sales appointments with Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Educate prospective members about plan options, benefits, and eligibility requirements in a clear, compliant, and customer-friendly manner.
  • Prospect, develop, and grow the territory to drive enrollment, retention, and market penetration.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with senior living staff, agencies, and community organizations serving Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Identify customer needs and use consultative selling techniques to present plan options and clearly explain their features and benefits.
  • Deliver plan education sessions and training to partner staff to increase awareness and support enrollment efforts.
  • Generate enrollments aligned with territory targets and consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals.
  • Provide an exceptional member experience throughout the enrollment lifecycle, including responding to questions about benefits and eligibility.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Medicare Marketing Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately document sales activities, customer interactions, and enrollments in company CRM systems.
  • Independently plan travel, schedule appointments, and manage day-to-day territory activity to meet performance expectations.
  • Maintain a goal-oriented, self-motivated approach to achieving sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience in a customer-facing, sales, or healthcare-related role will be considered. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Three to five years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles, with demonstrated success understanding customer needs and meeting sales or service goals.
  • Experience in senior living, admissions, healthcare, community outreach, or another customer-facing environment serving older adults.
  • Must live within the assigned Philadelphia and eastern Pennsylvania territory.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% throughout the designated local territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate Pennsylvania health insurance license within 30 days of hire, including passing the required state licensing examination and completing AHIP certification.
  • Ability to maintain required licensure and product certifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong relationship-building, written, verbal, and public-speaking skills, including the ability to explain information clearly and overcome objections.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and independently manage appointments, travel, territory activity, and CRM documentation.
  • Comfort initiating outreach, making cold calls, and developing new community relationships.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and CRM or documentation tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds of collateral materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with older adults or in a healthcare setting, such as senior living, home health, hospice, care coordination, or social work.
  • Background in sales, admissions, business development, account management, community outreach, case management, medical sales, or senior guardianship.
  • Experience in a customer-facing business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment.
