Job Description

Role purpose

To coordinate with SSV vendors and inspect seed production fields. End to end control SSV seed production process to ensure the good quality seed and reliability. Follow up seed production progress and report to Field Production Lead - SSV. Responsible post-harvest management of SSV (seed extraction, wet seed treatment, seed drying, seed processing and packing at COM300 level). Coordinate with Field Production Research (FPR) team to arrange experimental and research to develop field production practices.

Accountabilities

• Coordinate contract signing processes with seed production vendors.
• Parent seeds preparation and distribution processes.
• Ensure seed production process of growers/vendors follow standard seed production procedure effectively.
• Record seed production data in FIOSSYNS.
• Provide technical training of seed production process to growers/vendors.
• Provide field visit report and feedback to vendors.
• Provide control documents in seed production process.
• Regular field visit to ensure field quality control during seed production processes.
• Provide accurately regular report (VPR) to Field Production Lead – SSV.
• Coordinate with seed production vendors to provide field quality grades.
• Ensure post-harvest handling process follow standard seed production procedure and meet Syngenta requirements.
• Coordinate and control seed harvesting and post-harvest management practices align with Syngenta standard and requirements.
• Coordinate with MOM for goods receive processes.
• Request for advance payment to MOM.
• Communicate seed quality results to vendors.
• Coordinate with MOM for final payments.
• Arrange post-production review & Pre-season workshop with seed production vendors.
• Coordinate with FPR team to arrange field research, data collecting and data analysis.
• Responsible on seeds delivery and shipment (export varieties) on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
• Human relationship and good coordinator.
• Computer literacy: MS-office.
• Has experience in vegetables seed production.
• Fully understand about seed production quality control.
• Problem solving and time management.
• Good creativity.
• Can travel upcountry.
• Have driving license.
• Experienced in agriculture promotion/extension jobs at farmer/grower level.
• Good analytical and problem solving.
• Can deal with tough situation.
• Good planning skills.
• Proactive.
• Have open mind and ability to learn new thing.
• Candidates with proficiency in English communication skills will be considered an advantage.

Additional Information

Base in Khon-Kaen province. Can travel to other areas in upcountry. Candidates with proficiency in English communication skills will be considered an advantage.
