The Company

Throne is a fast growing Series B startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, they're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026–2027.

Why This Role is Exciting

  • Own quality across every market: You'll serve as the eyes and ears of Throne's Central Technical Operations team, ensuring every deployed unit and local operation meets the company's quality standards.
  • Travel with purpose: Visit markets across the country—including Seattle, the Bay Area, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Ann Arbor, and New York City—to evaluate operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and help establish consistent excellence nationwide.
  • Shape quality standards: Your findings won't just identify issues—they'll directly influence how Throne evolves its inspection processes, documentation, and operational best practices as the company scales.
  • Cross-functional impact: Work closely with Technical Operations, Engineering, and local Operations teams to improve product quality, operational execution, and customer experience across the organization.

Responsibilities

As the Quality Inspector – Field Operations, you will evaluate the quality of Throne's deployed restroom units and audit field operations across multiple markets, helping ensure consistent operational excellence as the company grows.

  • Unit Inspections & Technical Auditing: Conduct detailed inspections of deployed Throne units, evaluating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, IoT, and overall product quality against established standards. Identify defects, maintenance issues, and quality concerns while verifying corrective actions during follow-up visits.
  • Market Operations Auditing: Audit local market operations, including inventory management, warehouse organization, fleet condition, equipment readiness, cleanliness standards, and operational compliance. Build strong working relationships with local teams while maintaining objective, consistent quality assessments.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produce clear, structured inspection reports that communicate findings, trends, and recommended corrective actions to Technical Operations and local leadership. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the company's growing quality knowledge base.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring trends across markets and partner with Central Technical Operations to improve inspection criteria, quality standards, operational processes, and audit procedures as Throne expands nationally.
