Job Summary

The Regional Director of Clinical Services provides clinical leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational support for multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) across an assigned region. This role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality resident care, survey readiness, clinical compliance, quality outcomes, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing long‑term care operations. The Regional Director of Clinical Services partners with Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, and regional leadership to strengthen clinical systems, improve quality measures, support census growth, and optimize operational performance. This position serves as a key resource for clinical education, compliance, quality assurance, and leadership development across the region.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Long‑Term Care or Skilled Nursing
  • Multi‑facility management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of long‑term care regulations, CMS requirements, survey processes, and clinical operations
  • Experience supporting quality assurance, infection prevention, resident care management, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to assess, implement, evaluate, and improve clinical systems and care delivery processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize facility visits and competing priorities
  • Ability to travel extensively by automobile and airline as necessary

Essential Functions

  • Provide regional clinical oversight and support to assigned Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, CMS requirements, and long‑term care standards
  • Conduct routine on‑site clinical reviews, operational assessments, and quality audits to evaluate resident care outcomes and regulatory readiness
  • Implement and support Cantex Clinical Policies, Procedures, and Resident Care Management Systems
  • Assist facilities in achieving positive survey outcomes and maintaining survey readiness
  • Partner with Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing to improve clinical quality measures and operational performance
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of key clinical leadership positions, including Directors of Nursing, Unit Managers, and Case Managers
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to new and existing clinical leaders
  • Conduct Director of Nursing onboarding and orientation using established organizational standards and orientation tools
  • Collaborate with facility leadership on quality improvement initiatives, risk management activities, and resident safety programs
  • Participate as a member of Corporate Quality Assurance, Clinical, Survey Readiness, and Leadership Committees
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of clinical systems and recommend improvements as needed
  • Ensure compliance with life safety, infection prevention, OSHA, CMS, and state regulatory standards
  • Promote and support census development, marketing initiatives, and community growth strategies
  • Partner with regional leadership to ensure facilities achieve or exceed quality and financial objectives
  • Provide support to facilities outside the assigned region as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
