We are looking for a proactive and results-driven sales development professional with extensive experience in screening media, wear protection and the African aftermarket sector. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial and technical insight, a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, develop customer-focused strategies and build high-performing teams. You should be a confident communicator and relationship builder who can work effectively across a matrix organisation, manage priorities independently and collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to deliver sustainable business growth and an excellent customer experience. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Africa are essential.

Purpose of the role:

Responsible to actively develop Sales in across Africa and build a highly capable and dedicated Sales development and Support team that enables the sales organization to improve customer satisfaction and improved market shares. The role requires a proactive, results-driven aftermarket AM focused individual, playing a key part in identifying growth opportunities within the business segment, driving customer success, and strengthening client relationships.

The job responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and market development for Screening Media and Wear Protection across Africa.
  • Support quotations, pricing, margin optimization, and business development initiatives.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, to identify growth opportunities and protect market share.
  • Develop and execute WIN plans, customer success strategies, and lifecycle solution initiatives.
  • Build strong customer relationships through technical support, training, and regular performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver a consistent customer experience and bundled solutions.
  • Monitor key business and customer KPIs while driving continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience

  • 8+ years in screening media and wear protection business.
  • 8+ years of experience in the African aftermarket sector, preferably within the mining, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and margin optimization.
  • Proven track record of formulating and executing successful strategies for customer retention and account growth.
  • Experience in developing training materials and customer success programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Other requirements

  • Driving licence.
  • The work includes travelling to customers and Sandvik sales entities in Africa.
