Overview
Group 1 is hiring a Regional Social Media Specialist to own short-form video, community engagement and online reputation for four New Hampshire dealerships. You will rotate through each store weekly, film vehicles, customers and staff, and turn that footage into consistent, on-brand content that drives engagement and showroom traffic.
Responsibilities
- Content strategy and planning
- Produce 8–10 videos per store each month (30–40 across the region), plus 3–4 customer testimonials, repurposing content across stores where it fits the campaign.
- Keep a reliable weekly publishing rhythm so local audiences and platform algorithms come to expect fresh, authentic content from each dealership.
- Audit the prior week's performance, send weekly content plans to General Managers and collect their priority vehicles to feature.
- Tailor content to each store's distinct brand and customer experience while upholding Group 1 standards.
- Filming and production
- Film 2–4 priority new and pre-owned vehicles per store visit, along with customer delivery testimonials and staff spotlight reels.
- Host on-camera content when needed, while encouraging staff to become the familiar faces of their dealership.
- Coordinate store readiness ahead of each visit: vehicles cleaned, staged and keyed; staff notified; deliveries flagged by sales managers.
- Obtain signed consent forms from every customer who opts in to appear on camera.
- Edit videos (about 1–2 hours each), then caption and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Community and reputation management
- Monitor inboxes and respond to comments daily across all four stores' accounts.
- Escalate and help resolve negative reviews and comments, using General Manager input on responses.
- Send each General Manager a weekly recap of content published and results.
- Dealership events
- Cover grand openings, charitable events, vehicle launches and customer events at all four dealerships, including some evenings and weekends.
How success is measured
- Audience engagement across each store's channels
- Brand consistency with each dealership and with Group 1 standards
- Lead and showroom traffic generated from social content
- Responsiveness to comments, messages and reviews
- Growth in staff participation in content over time
Qualifications
- Proven ability to create and adapt content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Experience in brand development, including spotting relevant trends and judging whether they fit business standards
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and AI video tools such as Sora
- Strong understanding of copyright, music licensing, privacy and proper use of company logos and brand assets
- A track record of growing brand and consumer awareness
- Online reputation management experience
- Comfort hosting content on camera and directing others who are new to it
Preferred
- Experience in automotive, dealership or multi-location retail marketing
- A portfolio of short-form video work with results you can share
Compensation and work requirements
- Pay: $30.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
- Travel: Daily travel between the four New Hampshire dealerships; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
- Availability: Some evenings and weekends for dealership events
- Physical: Able to stand, walk and film outdoors on the lot in varied weather, and carry camera equipment
