Position: Tax & Accounting Specialist

Type: Remote Full-time

Working hours: SA based 8 hours a day supporting US client Accounts

Company Office Location: Pretoria

Potential start date: As soon as possible or no later than January 2027

We are seeking a skilled Tax & Accounting Specialist to join a growing finance Firm to be supporting US-based clients. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient across accounting systems and reporting tools, with the ability to manage multiple client portfolios efficiently and accurately.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation functions for a variety of clients.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements and tax submissions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and statutory requirements.
• Generate insightful financial reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
• Reconcile accounts and manage general ledger entries in QuickBooks.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Stay current on tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• SAIPA accreditation is essential (SAICA and CIMA candidates are welcome to apply)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks or Xero.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and tax; newly qualified accountants who completed their articles are also welcome to apply.
• US accounting/tax experience will be beneficial but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Candidates outside of Pretoria are welcome to apply but please keep in mind: While this is a remote role the company may require the candidate to travel to the office on occasion (not seldom).
