Role: Technology Portfolio Programmer Analyst – JavaScript Developer (SAP LeanIX)

Contract Period: October 12, 2026 – August 31, 2027

Location: Remote

Local Candidates: Preferred; local candidates may be required to come onsite once per month

Contract Rate: $45-48/hr C2C max.

Position Overview

The Technology Portfolio Programmer Analyst will design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within SAP LeanIX to improve visibility, automation, and reporting across the technology portfolio. This role combines enterprise architecture platform knowledge with hands-on software development, with a strong focus on:

• JavaScript-based customization

The ideal candidate will be able to translate business and architecture requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions that improve data quality, streamline workflows, and support technology portfolio decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement calculated fields in SAP LeanIX using JavaScript to derive meaningful insights from architecture data.
• Build and maintain LeanIX automations using JavaScript to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and support governance processes.
• Develop custom reports using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and GraphQL to provide actionable visualizations and insights.
• Create, test, and optimize GraphQL queries to efficiently retrieve and transform LeanIX workspace data for reporting and automation.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand reporting and automation requirements.
• Translate business and architecture requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure custom code is performant, maintainable, secure, and aligned with platform constraints and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to: Calculations, Automations, Custom reports, LeanIX extensions.
• Support deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of custom LeanIX extensions and reporting components.
• Document technical designs, code, and support procedures for maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Identify opportunities to improve: Data quality, Portfolio transparency, Reporting, Automation, User experience.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including modern ES6+ concepts and best practices.
• Hands-on React development experience – required.
• Experience building custom logic and code-based solutions in SAP LeanIX or similar enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL for querying, filtering, and transforming data.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience developing analytical, operational, or portfolio-focused reports and dashboards.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and testing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into usable technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly document technical solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the SAP LeanIX Reporting Library and Custom Report Tools, including React/TypeScript-based report development and workspace upload workflows.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts, application portfolios, technology standards, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with: API integration patterns, JSON data structures, Web-based application development.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Knowledge of: Test-driven development, Code review practices, Release management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience working with: Backlogs, User stories, Iterative delivery.
• Ability to optimize data queries and front-end performance for responsive reporting.
• Familiarity with SAP LeanIX platform limitations and coding best practices, including: Self-contained JavaScript logic, Technical field references.
