Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, VES, PQI based in United States.

This executive role translates strategic ambitions into sustained business performance across a global Product Quality & Innovation portfolio.

Reporting to the Segment SVP, you will serve as a senior leadership partner to operating company Presidents and functional leaders.

You will connect strategy, people, and execution to accelerate growth, innovation, operational performance, and organizational capability.

The role combines enterprise-level strategic leadership with hands-on engagement in complex business challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will shape the application of an enterprise business system across growth, innovation, and lean while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

As a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, you will influence priorities, strengthen management practices, and develop high-performing teams.

This is a high-impact, full-time, remote opportunity with broad exposure to strategic and operational priorities across a global organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with the Segment Leader to shape leadership meetings and business reviews around the organization’s most critical priorities, driving clear decisions, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Lead annual business planning and strategy enablement, ensuring strategic initiatives are appropriately resourced, supported by measurable objectives, and executed with discipline.
  • Lead Policy Deployment to translate long-term strategy into breakthrough priorities, actionable plans, and aligned execution across the segment.
  • Work with senior leaders to identify performance gaps and execution barriers, applying continuous improvement and enterprise business system practices to address root causes and sustain results.
  • Support acquisition integration by aligning business-system deployment and capability development with the needs of newly acquired organizations.
  • Partner with business leaders to advance growth, innovation, and operational performance through targeted improvement initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Strengthen management practices such as daily management, standard work, structured problem-solving, business reviews, and operational reviews to improve visibility, decision-making, and accountability.
  • Guide high-impact kaizen activities and strategic growth initiatives, including Growth Rooms and Obeya practices, ensuring improvements become embedded in day-to-day operations.
  • Identify successful practices across operating companies and create opportunities to benchmark, share, adapt, and scale them across businesses and geographies.
  • Act as a coach and thought partner to senior leaders, helping them apply enterprise business system principles to complex business challenges and lead sustainable change.
  • Define and execute capability development and certification roadmaps aligned with current business needs and emerging strategic priorities.
  • Lead and develop the enterprise business system organization, mentor operating company leaders, and build succession pipelines to support long-term organizational needs.
  • Ensure certified practitioners and trainers are effectively deployed to generate measurable business impact and strengthen capabilities across functions.
  • Build an active leadership community that promotes collaboration, benchmarking, shared learning, and continuous improvement across businesses and geographies.
  • Manage the function’s budget and talent priorities, aligning resources with the areas of greatest strategic and business impact.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience leading and applying continuous improvement principles across growth, innovation, and lean, with a demonstrated record of delivering sustained business results.
  • Significant senior leadership experience within a multinational organization, ideally as an enterprise business system leader or operating company executive with substantial responsibility for continuous improvement and business performance.
  • Deep practitioner expertise in lean, continuous improvement, or a comparable enterprise business system, including daily management, standard work, structured problem-solving, and kaizen.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Policy Deployment workshops, executive- or President-level kaizen initiatives, and practitioner development or certification roadmaps connected to strategic business priorities.
  • Strong hands-on experience working directly with teams at Gemba to strengthen problem-solving capabilities, develop talent, and sustain improvements through practical learning.
  • Significant practitioner experience in new product development and applying continuous improvement methodologies to innovation and development processes.
  • Proven ability to build and develop teams, coach senior executives, and strengthen organizational capabilities across functions, businesses, and geographies.
  • Strong strategic and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect customer needs, growth opportunities, operational priorities, and improvement opportunities to measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional executive influence and partnership skills, with the credibility to challenge established thinking, build alignment, and drive accountability through influence rather than authority.
  • Hands-on problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to use data, observation, and structured methodologies to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong change leadership skills, with the ability to build commitment to new ways of working, navigate ambiguity, encourage thoughtful experimentation, and maintain focus on results.
  • Excellent communication and people leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, develop others, foster inclusion, and translate complex issues into focused action.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual compensation range of $300,000–$350,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for incentive pay in addition to base compensation.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees.
  • 401(k) retirement plan for eligible employees.
  • Full-time, remote position based in the United States.
  • Opportunity to operate at the senior leadership level with broad influence across a global portfolio of businesses, functions, and geographies.
  • Significant scope to shape enterprise-level continuous improvement, leadership development, innovation, and business performance.
