Tech Lead, Product Engineer Remote (United States)

What You'll Do

As a Tech Lead, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through production while guiding engineering decisions that shape the platform. You will:

• Lead complex technical initiatives from idea to launch
• Design system architecture, APIs, and data models
• Build full-stack features supporting real investment workflows
• Partner closely with product managers and designers
• Maintain high standards for reliability, performance, and data integrity
• Mentor engineers and help grow the team’s technical capabilities
• Introduce tools, patterns, and best practices that improve engineering velocity

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a purely managerial position. You’ll continue writing production code while helping guide technical direction.

Tech Stack

The platform is built using modern, widely adopted technologies including:

• TypeScript
• Node.js
• PostgreSQL
• GraphQL

• React Query

Engineers work across the full stack and play a role in shaping system architecture and product design.

What We're Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you have:

• 9+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience leading complex engineering projects or technical initiatives
• Deep experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL
• Strong front-end development experience with React
• Experience designing scalable systems and evolving data models
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

Nice to Have

Experience with:

• Advanced JavaScript data/grid libraries such as AG Grid, SpreadJS, or HyperFormula
• Building computation-heavy or data-intensive systems
• Developer productivity tools or AI-assisted development workflows

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 depending on experience

Work Location

This role is remote anywhere in the United States. Preference is given to candidates located in the New York area who can work hybrid in Brooklyn (3 days per week). Fully remote employees should:
