Position Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Manager, (Vertical SIOP & Supply Chain Strategy) serves as the end-to-end Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) leader and single point of accountability for a designated product vertical within the Data Centers business. This strategic role is responsible for designing, executing, and governing the complete SIOP cadence for the vertical across all dedicated and shared global manufacturing sites (Americas, EMEA, APAC). Operating within the 3-to-24+ month planning horizon, this individual aligns commercial demand, strategic customer agreements (LTAs), and project order books with global plant capacities, critical component pipelines, and working capital targets. Additionally, this leader acts as the chief executive synthesizer for the vertical, rolling up regional and multi-plant operational plans into the vertical’s monthly Executive SIOP Review with the President, Data Centers and Executive Staff. The role provides rigorous scenario models, risk analyses, and strategic decision frameworks for footprint allocations, product mix optimization, and capital investments (CapEx).

Key Responsibilities

1. Vertical SIOP Architecture & Cadence Leadership
   • End-to-End Vertical Ownership: Own and facilitate the monthly 5-stage SIOP cycle for the vertical: Stage 1 – Product Portfolio / Gate 0: Partner with Product Management and PMO on New Product Introduction (NPI) ramp-ups, design freezes, and Phase-In/Phase-Out (PIPO) schedules. Stage 2 – Demand Review: Reconcile unconstrained commercial pipeline, firm backlog, customer LTAs, and service demand into a baseline consensus forecast. Stage 3 – Supply & Capacity Review: Evaluate multi-plant line throughput, crewing models, and critical supplier capacity constraints across all production sites supporting the vertical. Stage 4 – Pre-SIOP Reconciliation: Lead the financial reconciliation of operational build plans against business unit revenue, margin, and working capital targets. Stage 5 – Executive SIOP Review: Facilitate the monthly executive decision session with the Data Centers President and executive leadership.
   • Process Standardization: Embed and continuously mature standard operating system processes (Stabilize, Standardize, Scale, Sustain) across the vertical’s global footprint.
2. Executive Synthesis & Strategic Scenario Modeling
   • Executive Roll-Up (Data Centers President): Synthesize complex operational, supply, and commercial data into a concise, high-impact monthly briefing for executive leadership.
   • Scenario Planning & Trade-Off Analysis: Lead multi-variable scenario modeling for strategic customer programs, evaluating demand surges, plant-to-plant volume balancing, product mix trade-offs, and critical commodity risk buffers.
   • Capacity-to-CapEx Pipeline: Translate 12-to-24+ month vertical capacity constraints into formal business cases, line addition proposals, and capital expenditure (CapEx) requests.
3. Planning Horizon Discipline & S&OE Integration
   • Horizon Boundary Governance: Maintain clear operational discipline between the tactical/strategic horizon (3–24+ months) owned by Vertical SIOP and the short-term execution horizon (0–12 weeks) owned by Regional MP&L and Plant Materials teams.
   • S&OE Escalation Protocol: Partner with plant operations to standardize Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) feedback loops, ensuring daily/weekly component shortages or schedule disruptions systematically update long-range planning assumptions.
4. Digital Enablement, Power BI & Data Governance
   • Capacity Decision Tooling: Own, maintain, and scale the vertical’s advanced Power BI capacity models, build plan scenario planners, and constraint tracking dashboards.
   • Data Harmonization: Partner with IT and Master Data teams to ensure consistent planning parameters (lead times, demonstration rates, shift capacities, and planning BOMs) across all manufacturing sites producing the vertical.
5. Inventory Strategy & Working Capital Optimization
   • Vertical Inventory Policy: Establish target Days on Hand (DOH), safety stock buffers, and Plan for Every Part (PFEP) standard across Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods for the vertical’s product lines.
   • Inventory Optimization & E&O Mitigation: Institutionalize advanced inventory analytics into monthly reviews to drive inventory velocity and proactively eliminate Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory risks.

Required Education & Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related technical discipline. MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain / Operations strongly preferred.

Professional Experience 8–12+ years of progressive supply chain planning and operations experience in complex, multi-site global manufacturing environments (Engineered-to-Order / Configure-to-Order preferred). SIOP Leadership: Minimum 5+ years of direct experience leading end-to-end SIOP / IBP cycles for a dedicated product line, vertical, or business unit across global regions.

Technical & Analytical Mastery Advanced command of enterprise ERP planning systems (SAP PP/MM/SD preferred). Expert-level modeling capabilities in Power BI and advanced Excel (dynamic capacity modeling, multi-plant scenario simulations, data visualization). Working experience with inventory optimization platforms (e.g., LeanDNA) and CRM tools (Salesforce).

Business Acumen & Executive Presence Demonstrated ability connecting physical supply-demand balance sheets to financial P&L revenue timing, gross margin, and working capital. Proven executive storytelling and presentation skills, with a track record of driving strategic consensus among senior business leaders.

Certifications APICS / ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) strongly preferred. Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
