Duration: 36 Months

Note: If the successful individuals are local, then occasional site visits may be required and hybrid schedule is Monday-Thursday in office with Friday being a remote day. The manager will also consider fully remote candidates.

Job Description:

The SR Structural Engineer position requires 20+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience or accredited bachelor’s & master’s degree in engineering and professional engineering license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing structural engineering services and field support
• Conducting preparation of designs and calculations
• Conducting site walk downs of construction sites
• Developing cost estimates and material takeoffs
• Providing schedule and staffing input for projects
• Producing and checking structural steel design calculations and drawings

Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies
• Significant structural steel connection design experience
• Proficiency with structural codes and standards
• Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO
• Proficiency with OSHA regulations
• Able to coordinate and manage multiple large scale, multi-discipline projects
• Able to perform structural inspections and provide written report
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
• The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors
