Responsibilities of the Senior SAP Applications Developer

EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Senior SAP Applications Developer to join our team. As a Senior SAP Applications Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting SAP applications and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to understand their business requirements, architect SAP solutions, and deliver high-quality software applications.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP development, programming languages, and integration technologies. The Senior SAP Applications Developer will:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SAP applications and solutions.
• Design and develop SAP applications using programming languages such as ABAP, SAPUI5, Fiori, or other relevant technologies.
• Customize and enhance existing SAP applications to meet specific business needs and optimize performance.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and functionality of developed applications.
• Collaborate with functional teams to integrate SAP applications with other systems and ensure seamless data flow.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP applications and provide ongoing support to end-users.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SAP technologies and recommend best practices for application development.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to timelines.
• Document technical specifications, design documents, and application configurations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior SAP Applications Developer or in a similar role, developing and supporting SAP applications.
• Strong knowledge of SAP development technologies, such as ABAP, SAPUI5, Fiori, and relevant integration technologies.
• Proficiency in designing and developing SAP applications, including customizations and enhancements.
• In-depth understanding of SAP modules and their integration with other systems.
• Experience with SAP implementation methodologies, such as ASAP or Activate.
• Strong programming and development skills in languages like ABAP, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based solutions (such as SAP Cloud Platform) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• SAP Certification is preferred.
• Active Security Clearance
