Senior sales executive - accounting

What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for an Accounting Sales Executive to join a group of dynamic sales professionals. You will increase new sales growth within the Accounting channel. Operating as part of a motivated team, our Accounting Sales Executives sell products that are part of the “Avalara For Accountants” (A4A) Solution. Working with our accounting partners, you will educate accounting partners, build trust and partnerships, while promoting the A4A product solution. A4A enables accounting partners to provide efficient services to their clients using Avalara's cloud-based software platforms. You will report to the National Sales Manager and can work remotely.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• You will identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships.
• Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close.
• You will develop a high level of knowledge about Avalara's A4A product solutions and offerings.
• Present webinars and trainings and attend partner, alliance and industry events to build brand awareness of the A4A offering.
• Maintain an understanding of the marketplace, competitive offerings and other business issues relevant to the position.
• Develop relationships with Avalara accounting partners to increase opportunities.
• Document daily sales activities in Salesforce automation tool, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline and perform other tasks necessary to increase sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management.
• Be an active team player both on the sales team and throughout Avalara to help meet our goals.
• Provide feedback from field experience to other teams.
• Work with internal colleagues and departments within Avalara.

What You'll Need to be Successful

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years proven SaaS sales experience.
• You have experience prospecting new business opportunities.
• B2B sales experience with an emphasis on acquiring new customers.
• Experience handing high velocity and complex selling situations.
• Documented success achieving assigned quotas.
• Consultative, solution-based sales methodology.
• Sales experience with financial/accounting applications or hosted software solutions or the banking/financial services Industry.
• Knowledge in the ERP, E-Commerce, Billing/POS solutions.

Pay Range Details

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

• Colorado $69,212 - $130,000 annually
• Washington $69,212 - $145,000 annually
• California $69,212 - $155,000 annually
• NYC $76,596 - $155,000 annually

The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on multiple factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, and market and business considerations.

This role is eligible for the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or use, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
