Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking an experienced, high-performing sales leader to serve as Senior Sales Director, Law Enforcement & Homeland Defense who will report directly to our Vice President of Sales, North America. This key leadership role establishes, builds, and leads a dedicated revenue pillar responsible for driving business growth across the US Department of War, National Guard, Federal Civilian & Law Enforcement agencies (DOJ, DHS, DOI, etc.), as well as State & Local Public Safety organizations.

This position leads a team of specialized Sales Directors, executing a bottom-up tactical sales strategy while aligning closely with top-of-funnel Market Development Executives (MDEs), Business Development Directors, and Spectrum Overlay specialists. This role requires up to 50% travel for customer site visits, tactical field demonstrations, executive briefings, and major industry trade shows.

This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Ownership: Own and deliver the annual orders & revenue targets, quarterly quotas, and booking forecasts for the entire Law Enforcement & Homeland Defense vertical across North America.
• Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage, mentor, and grow a team of specialized Sales Directors.
• Pipeline Management & Data Analysis: Drive pipeline velocity, rigorous CRM tracking, and accurate forecasting for all deals within the vertical.
• Cross Functional Alignment: Work closely with Silvus engineering, product development, marketing, and business development teams to grow the business.
• Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Travel Requirement – Ability to travel up to 50% for customer site visits, tactical field demonstrations, executive briefings, and major industry trade shows.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of successful sales leadership experience in tactical or public safety communications, C4ISR, electronic warfare, or defense/public safety technology.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes, budget cycles, and operational frameworks across Federal Markets and / or State & Local markets.
• Leadership Track Record: 2+ years of sales leadership experience building, scaling, and managing high-performing field sales teams with multi-million-dollar annual quotas.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong grasp of RF communications, tactical MANET mesh networking, software-defined radios (SDR), and spectrum awareness solutions.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.

• Trade shows.
• Outdoor environment for demonstrations.
• Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
• ​ --Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.
• --Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
• --Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
• --Walking/Moving in the labs.

COMPENSATION

$150,000 - $190,000 / annual base salary plus commission. OTE potential: up to $380,000
