Position Summary

As our Senior Manager of Strategic Credentialing and Network Operations, you’ll be the engine behind getting our clinicians active, paneled, and ready to treat patients across expanding markets. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance, you will own our credentialing engine end-to-end, scaling our delegated credentialing setup with commercial and Medicaid health plans, holding external vendor partners to tight timelines, and untangling multi-state regulatory complexity. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, Clinical Ops, RCM, and Tech, you’ll directly influence how fast Blackbird scales to meet the growing demand for pediatric mental health care. This is a fully remote opportunity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• End-to-End Credentialing & Payer Enrollment: Own multi-state provider enrollment across commercial and Medicaid/MCO plans, driving down provider ramp time from offer acceptance to billing activation.
• Vendor Governance & SLA Performance: Direct third-party credentialing vendors, establishing clear KPIs, SLAs, and accountability structures to prevent onboarding backlogs.
• Delegated Credentialing & Audit Readiness: Build, maintain, and operationalize health plan delegated credentialing arrangements and lead NCQA/MCO audit preparedness.
• Cross-Functional Process Optimization: Partner with RCM, Clinical Ops, Legal, and Tech to optimize provider roster management, EHR data integrations, and billing alignment.

What Makes You, You

• Delegated Credentialing Subject Matter Expert: Deep knowledge of NCQA standards, health plan delegation audits, and MCO/Medicaid regulatory requirements.
• Data-Driven & Systems Mindset: Adept at analyzing operational bottlenecks, tracking provider-to-payer ramp metrics, and automating workflows.
• Cross-Functional Partner: Proven success building collaborative relationships with health plan network directors, internal executive stakeholders, and external vendors.

The Basics You’ll Need

• Experience: 8+ years of healthcare credentialing and provider enrollment experience (multi-state behavioral/mental health preferred).
• Delegated Credentialing: Proven track record managing delegated credentialing processes and health plan audit requirements.
• Vendor & Regulatory Mastery: Hands-on experience managing third-party vendors against SLAs; strong command of NCQA standards and Medicaid/MCO rules.
• Certifications: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or CPCS-MS preferred.

Salary Range

$105,000—$115,000 USD
