Job Title: Senior Healthcare Interoperability Consultant (FHIR / C-CDA / HL7 v2)

Location: Remote (U.S. only; Austin, TX time zone preferred)

Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Healthcare Interoperability Consultant for a digital health organization that delivers clinical data exchange platforms. You will work client-facing across C-CDA/CCD, HL7 v2, and FHIR—identity resolution, EMPI/MDM, clinical mapping, and ingestion pipelines. This is an expert interoperability seat, not a general EHR analyst.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead interoperability design and delivery across C-CDA / CCD, HL7 v2, and FHIR.
• Map and normalize clinical data for ingestion pipelines.
• Support patient identity resolution, deduplication, and EMPI / MDM.
• Work directly with multiple external clients; represent the platform professionally.
• Translate clinical and technical requirements into implementable interface and data-model decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years healthcare interoperability (not adjacent IT only).
• Expert-level C-CDA / CCD, HL7 v2, and FHIR.
• Client-facing consulting with strong written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable with multiple external customers at once.
• U.S.-based; must work remotely from the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Patient identity / EMPI / MDM implementations.
• Clinical data normalization and mapping at scale.
• Clinical data ingestion pipelines.
• Digital health or health-information-exchange platforms.
