About the Role

At H&R Block, the Senior Creative Design Manager leads the creative vision, design strategy, and execution for high-performing creative assets that support customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion goals across brand, organic and paid channels. This role combines creative excellence with a performance mindset, creating customer-centered designs that drive measurable business outcomes while maintaining H&R Block’s brand standards.

Reporting to the Creative Director within Marketing, this leader partners closely with Marketing, CRM, Analytics, Customer Experience, Content Strategy, and Brand teams to develop data-informed creative solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. The Senior Creative Design Manager balances brand stewardship with performance optimization, ensuring creative work is both strategically aligned and results-driven.

Day to day, you'll...

• Lead the creative strategy, design vision, and execution across brand, organic and paid media marketing channels
• Manage and develop a team of designers through coaching, performance management, mentorship, and career development
• Partner with Performance Marketing and GTM leaders to create high-performing creative that supports acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue goals
• Oversee the development of creative assets across paid social, display, video, search companion creative, email, and other digital marketing channels
• Establish and maintain creative standards, workflows, and best practices that improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Champion testing and optimization programs, leveraging customer insights, analytics, and performance data to continuously improve creative outcomes
• Collaborate with Content Strategy, Brand, Analytics, Customer Experience, and Marketing stakeholders to deliver integrated customer experiences
• Ensure creative assets align with brand guidelines while meeting channel-specific performance objectives and requirements
• Monitor industry trends, platform innovations, and emerging creative best practices to inform marketing strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in creative design, performance marketing creative, digital marketing, email design, or related disciplines
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and developing creative teams
• Demonstrated experience leading creative strategy and execution for paid media, performance marketing, and lifecycle marketing programs
• Strong understanding of paid social, display, digital advertising, email marketing, and customer journey best practices
• Experience leveraging analytics, testing results, and customer insights to optimize creative performance
• Proven ability to balance brand consistency with conversion-focused creative objectives
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills within a matrixed organization
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and creative storytelling abilities
• Proficiency with modern creative and design tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and related collaboration platforms
• Experience managing agency partners, external vendors, and creative production workflows preferred

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$80,800.00 - $129,300.00/Yr.
