Job Description

About the Role

Join a small, hands-on engineering team developing real-time control electronics for advanced flight vehicles. You will own flight-critical hardware from initial design through integration and production, working closely with avionics, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), and flight software teams.

What You'll Do

  • Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control loops.
  • Own PCB design, hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, integration, and production readiness.
  • Develop microcontroller, microprocessor, and mixed-signal circuits for real-time processing and control.
  • Define hardware requirements and make technical decisions in collaboration with partner engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Three to 15 years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
  • A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCB assemblies, including analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • PCB schematic capture and layout experience, preferably with Altium, and familiarity with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, ARM microcontrollers, CAN, DDR, FPGA, and embedded C.
  • Experience in a fast-paced hardware environment and, ideally, flight hardware or other high-reliability aerospace, defense, or automotive systems.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance are required.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Remote within the United States, with Rio Rancho, New Mexico as the primary location.
