We’re looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Sales Representative to manage and develop key customer accounts. This role owns customer relationships and programs, sells a diverse portfolio of organic produce, and works closely with our growers and internal teams to connect customer needs with the right products and opportunities.

The ideal candidate brings strong produce sales experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage complex customer relationships with a high degree of ownership. They understand how to balance customer needs, market conditions, product movement, profitability, and grower objectives while building business for the long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Key Account Management & Development: Own and develop assigned customer accounts, building strong relationships across key contacts and identifying opportunities to expand volume, commodities, programs, and overall account value.
• Customer Programs & Planning: Manage ongoing customer programs, promotional opportunities, pricing, and commitments. Anticipate customer needs and partner internally to support strong execution.
• Daily Sales & Market Management: Actively manage sales, pricing, and product movement within assigned accounts, responding to changing supply, quality, and market conditions while balancing customer needs, profitability, and grower returns.
• Commodity & Product Management: Maintain strong knowledge of assigned commodities, including availability, quality, sizing, pack styles, seasonality, pricing, and market conditions. Keep commodity information current and communicate relevant updates and opportunities to the team.
• Cross-Functional Coordination & Problem Solving: Work closely with supply operations, quality, compliance, accounting, marketing, and sales teams to execute customer programs and proactively resolve order, quality, service, and supply challenges.
• Sales Planning & Analysis: Use customer history, purchasing trends, inventory, forecasts, and market information to identify opportunities, anticipate demand, and contribute to crop, promotional, and program planning.
• Business Development: Identify and develop qualified opportunities within existing accounts and pursue select new business opportunities that align with Creekside’s products and strategy.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of sales or account management experience in the fresh produce industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing key customer accounts and ongoing sales programs.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and account development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, growers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, with the ability to make timely decisions and independently manage customer needs and priorities.
• Strong sales and business acumen, including an understanding of pricing, volume, market conditions, product movement, profitability, and account development.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, commodities, programs, and time-sensitive priorities.
• High level of ownership and accountability, with the ability to work proactively and independently while knowing when to involve others.
• Ability to travel for customer and grower visits, trade shows, and company meetings as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
