QA / Test Engineer

About the opportunity

Test the core user journeys of an API-driven platform at the RPC layer while supporting the QA Lead on high-risk settlement, money-movement, and access-control coverage.

About our client Our client is preparing two AI-driven platforms for enterprise readiness, with a focus on security, correctness, and financial integrity ahead of a production launch.

What you'll do

• Author and execute functional test cases for core journeys: account creation, the call / challenge / pool flow, and outcome resolution.
• Test against the SECURITY DEFINER RPC layer rather than direct table access.
• Support the lead on settlement-path and money-movement testing.
• Exercise age-gating and identity-verification flows where testable (subject to Persona credential availability).
• Work with seeded test accounts and data provided by the client; respect exact handle formatting.
• Log defects with clear repro steps in the shared tracker; re-test after remediations.

What you bring (must-haves)

• Solid QA / test-engineering experience on modern web applications.
• SQL / Postgres for validating data and results.
• Working knowledge of Next.js or comparable JS frameworks and API/RPC testing.
• Careful, detail-exact test execution and reproducible defect reporting in clear written English.

Bonus points for (nice-to-haves)

• Exposure to payments, wallet, or transaction testing.
• Familiarity with Supabase / Vercel.
• Interest in real-money-platform testing and a path toward settlement work.
