Product Owner / Project Manager – UID Application Upgrade

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months

Salary: $55/HR. ON C2C Visa: GC&USC

We're looking for an experienced Product Owner / Project Manager to lead the upgrade of the Unique ID (UID) application from Version 11 to Version 2026. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned professional who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and third-party vendors while driving a major application modernization initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project scope, schedules, priorities, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Serve as the primary liaison between business, technical teams, leadership, and vendors
• Gather and document business and technical requirements
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and product documentation
• Prioritize requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Coordinate SIT and UAT activities
• Track defects and drive issue resolution with technical teams and vendors
• Manage implementation readiness, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
• Document current-state and future-state processes and workflows
• Develop training materials and support knowledge transfer

Required Experience

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in each of the following:

• Product Ownership – requirements, prioritization, and solution delivery
• Project Management – complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables
• Software Documentation – issues, release notes, technical guides
• Vendor Coordination – deliverables, activities, and issue resolution
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Strong Communication Skills

• Training & User Support
• Customer Service

Preferred

• Experience with Texas Student Data System (TSDS) at the LEA/vendor level
• Experience working with TSDS data collections
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
