The role establishes the KPIs, analytics, benchmarks, and financial insights needed to measure product health, services performance, engineering investment, cost-to-serve, and profitability. By connecting operational, commercial, and financial data, the role helps leadership identify performance gaps, optimize investments and cloud costs, and improve the overall economics and health of the SaaS portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

SaaS Portfolio Health - Product P&L

Product & Services Health Analytics: Develop and maintain a comprehensive analytics framework that measures the health and performance of both Cloud SaaS products and associated implementation/services businesses. Establish standardized KPIs, dashboards, benchmarks, and reporting that provide leadership with a clear view of operational, commercial, and financial performance.

SaaS Product Performance Analytics: Analyze core SaaS product metrics including ARR, revenue growth, software gross margin, customer adoption, retention, expansion, usage, bookings, ASP, discounting, and customer/product profitability. Identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve product economics and customer value.

Engineering Investment & Product Health: Establish analytics around Engineering-to-Revenue (E) and other product investment metrics to evaluate whether engineering resources and technology investments are appropriately aligned with revenue growth, product maturity, customer demand, and overall product health. Provide insights that inform product investment and portfolio prioritization.

Data & KPI Governance: Establish common definitions, calculation methodologies, data sources, and ownership for key Product, Services, and Financial KPIs. Ensure consistent reporting across Product Management, Engineering, Services, Commercial, Finance, and executive leadership.

Performance Benchmarking: Establish internal and external benchmarks for SaaS product and services performance. Compare products, regions, industries, customer segments, implementation models, and product lines to identify areas of outperformance and opportunities for improvement.

Professional Services Analysis

Services & Implementation Performance: Develop analytics to measure the health and efficiency of software implementation programs, including implementation revenue, backlog, project duration, time-to-value, utilization, staffing, project margin, forecast accuracy, milestone performance, scope changes, rework, customer readiness, and on-time delivery.

Services Gross Margin & Cost-to-Serve: Partner with Services, Finance, and Product leadership to analyze implementation economics and cost-to-serve. Identify drivers of project margin erosion, resource inefficiency, scope creep, delivery complexity, and recurring implementation costs, and develop actionable improvement opportunities.

Cost to Serve Analyst (FinOps)

Lead FinOps and SaaS cost management, aligning cloud infrastructure and operational costs to individual SaaS products and offerings to establish clear cost-to-serve, unit economics, and product-level profitability visibility.

Develop and report cloud cost optimization and performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure efficiency, utilization, and gross margins while partnering with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Cloud Operations to drive measurable cost reductions and continuous improvement across cloud deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• Approximately 3-5 years of similar experience ideally in SaaS or FinOps environments.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Data Visualization (Power BI preferred; must be able to build own dashboards).
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must reside in the United States and have valid Work Authorization for US (There will be no sponsorship offered for this role).

Desired Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex business, operational, and financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Experience developing and managing business performance metrics, dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks to measure organizational and financial performance.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis and business economics, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, forecasting, and investment performance.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to work across multiple data sources and communicate insights effectively to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong experience with SaaS, financial, and operational analytics, including the ability to develop and analyze KPIs such as ARR, revenue growth, gross margin, bookings, ASP, retention, utilization, cost-to-serve, and product profitability.
• Advanced data analysis and business intelligence capabilities, including proficiency with tools such as SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics platforms, with the ability to build scalable dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data models.
• Experience with SaaS financial modeling and unit economics, including product-level P&L analysis, engineering investment metrics, professional services economics, cost-to-serve, gross margin analysis, and performance benchmarking.
• Knowledge of Cloud FinOps and SaaS cost management, including experience analyzing AWS/cloud infrastructure costs, usage and utilization, unit costs, cost allocation, and cloud optimization opportunities and translating those insights into product-level financial metrics.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,700.00 and $149,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
