Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a highly qualified Principal Programmer to support the Department of Energy's Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) program. In this fully remote role, you will serve as the lead software and database developer for the WIPP Waste Data System (WDS). You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing, while collaborating seamlessly with distributed technical teams and existing software development subcontractors. Travel to Carlsbad, New Mexico for face-to-face technical meetings up to twice per year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is preferred. Five years of experience as a proven professional background operating as a Principal Programmer, Lead Developer, or Senior Software Engineer handling complex application and database modernization tasks.
