This role focuses on environmental control systems and facility infrastructure that support highly regulated cultivation and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HVAC, MEP systems, building automation systems (BAS), environmental controls, and facility utilities, with a strong understanding of how temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, and CO₂ systems work together to create optimal indoor growing and production environments.

This individual will partner closely with Operations, Facilities, Construction, Quality, and Compliance teams to develop practical engineering solutions, manage contractors and vendors, support capital projects, and drive facility performance across domestic and international operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Conduct facility assessments and technical due diligence for acquisitions, expansions, and capital projects.
  • Review facility infrastructure, utility capacity, and engineering designs to support operational and business objectives.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Facilities teams to troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support facility readiness for GACP, GMP, and EU-GMP regulated environments.
  • Promote OSHA compliance and safe facility design and operation standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, pharmaceutical, food production, cannabis, or other regulated facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, MEP infrastructure, environmental controls, and facility utilities.
  • Experience managing facility design, construction, renovation, or capital improvement projects.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and facility controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate engineering concepts into practical operational solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience supporting cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, or processing facilities.
  • Experience with controlled environment agriculture (CEA), greenhouse, or indoor cultivation operations.
  • Experience with laboratory, clean-room, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production environments.
  • Experience with commissioning, qualification, validation, or facility startup activities.
  • Working knowledge of GACP, GMP, and EU-GMP facility requirements.
