Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Report Writer to join a US-based Insurance Technology company on a full-time basis. This role will focus on developing accurate, well-structured business reports by extracting and presenting data from underlying databases.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL capabilities and hands-on experience developing structured, paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder and/or Crystal Reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance business reports using Power BI.
• Build and manage Power BI Paginated Reports and/or Crystal Reports.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Translate business reporting requirements into accurate, user-friendly reports.
• Create parameterised reports with appropriate filtering, grouping and formatting.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data discrepancies.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Paginated Reports / Power BI Report Builder and/or Crystal Reports.
• Previous experience in a BI, reporting or data-focused role.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data structures.
• High attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
