Job Description

Power BI Developer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 3 Months

Reason for Need

These individuals (we need 2) will be responsible for building a Power BI reporting solution using ServiceNow data that mirrors the functionality of an existing Salesforce-connected report. The goal is to provide operations and business leaders visibility into request/ticket information, status, aging, completion and user access details without requiring direct access to the underlying ticketing platform.

Interview Process

(1 panel interview) Video panel interview with the Hiring Manager and another technical team member (technical/behavioral)

Top Technical Requirements Include:

  • 3+ years of strong, hands-on Power BI development (ideally 5+ years)
  • Deep working knowledge of ServiceNow data, including fields, attributes and underlying data structures
  • Experience extracting, interpreting and transforming ServiceNow data for use in Power BI reporting and dashboards
  • Ability to create/migrate reporting functionality currently supported through a Salesforce-connected Power BI solutions into a ServiceNow-based solution
  • Experience building reporting that allows business users to search/filter request and ticket information, including status, aging, completion and user/access-related details
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot technical barriers and drive a defined reporting deliverable through completion

Top Soft Skill Requirements Include:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Tenacity and strong problem-solving skills; this project has already presented technical challenges and will require someone comfortable working through ambiguity and roadblocks
  • Proactive communication, particularly when encountering barriers, dependencies or risks
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to partner closely with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong ownership and follow-through within a short, project-based engagement

Additional Role Details:

Fully remote; candidates must reside within PST, MST, CST, or EST time zones (with a preference for PST/MST). Healthcare/RCM experience is not required, but would be a differentiator (industry agnostic is okay).
