Php laravel developer (+shopify backend)

Dinarys is an ecommerce development company helping retailers and brands across DACH, the UK, and the US build, scale, and optimize their digital commerce solutions. We specialize in custom e-commerce development, architecture consulting, integrations, and long-term technical partnerships. We’re looking for a strong PHP/Laravel Developer with Shopify integration experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll build scalable backend solutions, develop complex integrations, and work on high-impact e-commerce projects for international clients. Requirements:

• 4+ years of commercial experience with PHP.
• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel.
• Solid experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Practical experience with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Experience working with high-load ecommerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of Shopify architecture, including products, variants, collections, customers, carts, checkout, orders, fulfillments, discounts, and metafields.
• Experience developing custom backend functionality for Shopify-based ecommerce solutions.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
• Ability to design scalable database architectures and write optimized SQL queries.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, API security, and webhook validation.
• Experience integrating third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, payment providers, shipping services, analytics platforms, and other external APIs.
• Strong understanding of application security best practices.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with message queues, caching, or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of modern ecommerce ecosystems and composable commerce.
• Experience working in outsourcing or consulting environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Design, build, and support scalable REST APIs for ecommerce platforms, mobile applications, and internal services.
• Develop custom Shopify integrations using Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Build backend logic for products, variants, collections, customers, carts, orders, discounts, inventory, fulfillments, and metafields.
• Develop middleware services and custom admin tools connected to Shopify.
• Design and optimize database structures for high-performance ecommerce applications.
• Integrate third-party systems, including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing platforms, and external APIs.
• Ensure backend performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize integrations, and improve system stability.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, Shopify engineers, QA, Solution Architects, and Project Managers.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
