People operations manager

As our People Operations Manager at Assembly Software, you'll own the operational core of how Assembly hires, pays and supports its people. This is a growth-track role. We're hiring the person we expect to become our Director of Employee Operations and who will grow with our organization.

What You'll Do

You'll run payroll, benefits and HR operations, and own onboarding and offboarding end to end. You'll lead recruiting for every role below Director level, with recruiter support that can flex up and down with demand. On employee relations and performance management, you'll partner closely with our EVP, Human Resources: you handle policy questions, everyday concerns and performance documentation, higher-risk matters stay with the EVP, and that line moves as trust builds. Once the core runs smoothly, you'll map our people processes, fix what slows them down, and lead the rollout of the tools that support them.

What You'll Bring

You have four to seven or more years in HR or People Operations, with hands-on experience running payroll and benefits and owning full-cycle recruiting, not just scheduling. You have sound judgment on employee relations and know what to handle yourself and what to raise. You spot broken processes and fix them, you already use AI as a working tool, and you want a bigger role while understanding that the fundamentals are how you earn it.
