From the beginning, Genentech has been a team of highly dedicated, passionate individuals. We are a place where people are united around a single purpose and an ambitious vision. Together, we aspire to deliver ever better health outcomes for patients while lowering overall healthcare costs. Our goal is to compel the customer to act on behalf of their patients while showing great commitment to the rare disease community, whose support is key. Utilizing innovative methods to identify patients who may benefit from treatment, we must take a highly strategic approach to patient access while assisting patients and their caregivers to navigate the healthcare system.
This Partnership & Access Liaison (PAL) role is a unique position dedicated to supporting patients and caregivers, with time split equally between two key therapeutic areas: Neurological Rare Disease and Gene Therapy for Inherited Retinal Dystrophy.
For Retina, this role provides national coverage across the United States, serving as the primary non-clinical and logistical point of contact for patients from program enrollment through their treatment journey. For NRD, the PAL will be a "floater" in nature, covering patients in any given geography while geographical PALs are on leaves or sabbaticals. This role should expect fluidity in patient engagement.
The PAL must be able to navigate the distinct responsibilities and compliance guidelines for each therapeutic area while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for patients and providers.
The responsibilities for this role are separated by therapeutic area due to the different support models and patient needs and are subject to the business guidance for those therapeutic areas.
The Retina PAL role is governed by strict business guidance focused on logistical, non-clinical support.
This is a field based position supporting patients across the United States. Candidates must reside within the stated geography (NY, NJ, MA, CT, PA, RI, MD, DE, D.C, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL) with reasonable access to a major commercial airport to support requirements.
Relocation Benefits are not available for this role. Overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company-provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. This position will require approximately 30-50% travel, including some overnights and weekends. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving a Company vehicle or driving any vehicle on Company business.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
