Member of technical staff - full stack

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Technical Staff - Full Stack based in the United States.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role focused on building AI-native financial technology for the B2B distribution industry. You will architect and ship systems that process millions of dollars in transactions and integrate with complex enterprise resource planning platforms. The role combines full-stack product development, secure financial APIs, real-time data infrastructure, and LLM-powered workflows. You will work directly from customer needs through technical specifications, implementation, launch, and measurement of outcomes. The environment is highly autonomous, with engineers operating as individual contributors and taking ownership of meaningful product and business results. AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows are integrated into the daily engineering process. You will help create reliable, observable, and secure systems that directly influence customers' cash flow and revenue operations.

Accountabilities

• Design and build high-volume payment processing systems and secure financial APIs that reliably handle significant transaction volumes.
• Develop and maintain deep integrations with enterprise resource planning platforms, including NetSuite, Sage, Acumatica, and other systems.
• Build full-stack product capabilities across frontend, backend, database schema, APIs, testing, and infrastructure.
• Develop LLM-powered workflows supporting credit decisions, remittance matching, automated customer communications, dispute resolution, and other accounts receivable processes.
• Build real-time data pipelines capable of processing millions of financial records efficiently and reliably.
• Automate accounts receivable and collections workflows to improve customer cash flow and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement evaluations, observability, monitoring, and guardrails to ensure AI-powered features operate safely and reliably in production.
• Translate customer feedback and business needs into clear technical specifications and actionable engineering work.
• Own projects throughout the complete product lifecycle, from understanding customer signals and defining solutions through shipping, measurement, and iteration.
• Use AI development tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity, execution speed, and product quality.
• Collaborate directly with users and stakeholders to understand problems, validate solutions, and remain accountable for outcomes after launch.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience shipping full-stack software across frontend, backend, database schema, APIs, and automated testing.
• Strong ability to write clear technical specifications and decompose complex problems into well-defined, executable engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience building production software where reliability, security, scalability, and data integrity are important.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools, with tools such as Cursor or Claude Code already integrated into your regular engineering workflow.
• Ability to work directly with users, understand customer needs, and take ownership of business outcomes beyond the initial software release.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to operate independently in a highly autonomous engineering environment.
• Experience with some or all of the following technology stack: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, AWS, and Terraform.
• Experience with financial systems, payment processing, ERP integrations, real-time data pipelines, or AI-powered applications is valuable.
• Ability to design and build reliable AI features with appropriate evaluation, observability, and safety controls.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
