THE ROLE

Rise Up Selects powers connection through live events. The Marketing Manager is a crucial position responsible for protecting brand integrity, maintaining market strength, and shepherding the growth of both our own brands and our clients' brands across markets.

You will own day-to-day marketing across an assigned slate of projects, building the plans, running the campaigns, and reporting the results. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will be accountable for hitting benchmarks on the events assigned to you, not just supporting someone else who is.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

STRATEGY AND PLANNING

• Lead marketing objectives across Rise Up Selects to consistently exceed set benchmarks and KPIs
• Develop strategic marketing plans and comprehensive reporting across assigned projects
• Develop and oversee day-to-day marketing across assigned projects
• Evaluate, develop, and execute new processes to streamline work across the marketing department

CAMPAIGN EXECUTION

• Oversee social campaigns from ideation through execution across assigned projects
• Develop and execute direct marketing efforts, including email and SMS, across projects
• Oversee and execute data capture and lead generation campaigns across projects
• Partner on art development to maintain Rise Up Selects as an aesthetic leader in the industry
• Work closely with ad buyers to ensure marketing plans are communicated, ad plans are received, and performance metrics and spend stay on track
• Assist in building and maintaining local influencer marketing programs, ensuring deliverables and sales goals are met
• Assist in building and maintaining street team efforts, ensuring effective print and grassroots activity across projects
• Assist in the development and maintenance of PR efforts as needed

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS

• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and advertising initiatives, providing detailed reports and insights across teams
• Report regularly to the broader team on all aspects of assigned projects
• Ensure decisions are driven by data rather than justified by it after the fact

COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIPS

• Work closely with operations teams to ensure consistency in all marketing and branding efforts
• Work across departments to ensure all KPIs are met
• Engage with sponsors, community leaders, and other key partners to foster partnerships and support for events

ON-SITE

• Travel as required for on-site work alongside marketing and other teams at Rise Up Selects core projects, and potentially additional properties such as Reggae Rise Up
• Support day-of-show and festival marketing operations
• Additional duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of marketing experience with a record of running campaigns that moved measurable results
• Experience in live events, music, festivals, or hospitality strongly preferred
• Experience working on client or agency-side accounts is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience valued

SKILLS

• Strong command of both digital and traditional marketing channels
• Fluency with email and SMS platforms, social management tools, analytics, and project management systems
• Solid analytical ability, comfortable building a plan and comfortable reading the numbers that tell you whether it's working
• Strong eye for design and brand consistency; working knowledge of creative tools is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present clearly to leadership, clients, partners, and vendors

• Effective across multiple concurrent projects, markets, and brands without losing the details
• Self-starting and organized, comfortable operating independently with authority
• Collaborative across departments, including talent buying, production, ticketing, ad buying, and operations
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding corporate, strategic, financial, and client information
• Energized by a fast-paced environment and motivated by solving problems under real deadlines
• Genuinely enjoys live music and the work of building an audience for it

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary range: $55,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.

Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week, starting the first of the month after 60 days of service (the company pays for basic medical coverage), a 401(k) plan, and 14 paid company holidays.

Rise Up Selects values in-person collaboration and the team cohesion that comes with it. We are an office-first company, based in Salt Lake City, where real-time communication and spontaneous idea sharing keep a fast-moving business moving.

For exceptional candidates we will consider remote arrangements, but this is the exception rather than the norm and requires strong self-direction and excellent communication.

Travel is required for festivals and major events, and availability during evenings and weekends is expected around announce dates, on-sales, and event weeks.

A note on our calendar: Time off is not available during the two weeks immediately preceding and the one week immediately following any Rise Up Selects festival or major event. We mention this upfront because it matters, our year concentrates the most demanding stretches around a handful of dates, and we want candidates to understand that rhythm before joining.

This is a full-time position.
